This month we are completing the Alpha course, which teaches the basics of why we believe, at our newest faith-based dorm. We had a one-time Saturday event that emphasized the freedom of walking in the power of the Holy Spirit.
In Acts 2, the Spirit was poured forth and the Church was birthed. The early church shared meals, prayed for one another, lived simply and loved recklessly.
We lived that out that day. First, our team served the women in white by giving them a breakfast rare and delightful to them: fresh fruit, a Danish, and yogurt. There was an outpouring of gratitude and spontaneous praise.
There were even tears over a strawberry! Sharon loves strawberries, and we had one for each plate. “Thank you! I can’t believe this. I have not had a strawberry in five years.”
