The Power of Celebrate Recovery

Going to prison saved my life. God transformed me while I was there and is working on me every day. I am happier then I have ever been and I am so thankful for God and his CR people. I just want to say thank you Terry and Jean for bringing CR to us at Woodman.

Terry and I know first hand what it means to be “set free” from addictions. We are believers in Christ who have been set free from alcohol, nicotine, and drugs. This freedom has given us a platform and a passion to help others on their road to recovery.

So we lead Celebrate Recovery groups at Woodman and Marlin. CR is a Christ centered 12- step program for those with hurts, habits, and hang-ups. CR at Marlin N-1 unit has been strategic, as many women are there because of their addictions, so getting them connected with a 12-step program on the outside is vital.

Morgan Hawley was in our CR at Marlin and is now a leader in her home church in Hawkins, Texas. We were invited by Morgan to beautiful East Texas where Terry lead worship and gave his testimony. What an encouragement to see Morgan going home and getting into a local church and CR. Now she has stepped into leadership.

Another story for his glory!

Please pray this for those in Celebrate Recovery:

Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
4 Keep me free from the trap that is set for me,
    for you are my refuge.
